I'm really looking forward to it. Reading through the forum it looks a nice friendly place. Some of the forums I've used before (mostly cycling) seem to be very cliquey which is fine when you're in the clique but awful on the outside.
I've ordered some extra track from Hattons today. Hoping it arrives tomorrow. Baseboard has been ordered too. But as the car isn't really big enough for a 6ft x4ft piece of plywood I'll have to ask them to cut it into 3ft sections I think. Gone for the 9mm stuff so hoping it's thick enough.
The layout has changed a little to get rid of the curved point. But should still give me enough room to run the trains. Picked up a Thomas the tank engine with carriages and some trucks for my 8 year old off ebay today as well. So hopefully he likes those :)

That looks great MrB. What’s the green section at the top? R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.

Hi Roger,
I think it's an R-601 I'd just clicked it prior to the screen shot :)

Thanks, I really just wondered if there was any significance in it being green? R-
