My layout is a Cyril Freezer plan, but I had a little more room that the dimensions shown in the plan book, so was able to "stretch" things to fit. One crossover on a curve would not fit - so I left it out.

Ha ha, i kniw that's not exactly what you're saying but I've never heard a modeller saying he had more room than was needed! :)

I guess CJF has inspired more modellers than any other single author so all credit to him for that - and maybe it's all to the good that it takes a bit of experience to spot any flaws or hazards in a design before taking it off the drawing board.

As for me I think that if I've ever grand enough to have a Mission Statement it wud be "Striving to be average' or something like that :lol:

Meanwhile I've ordered and paid for some extra points for my newfangled double track fiddle yard only to be offered some by a friend ...
