I think Post Offices will survive due to the closure of many high street banks. You can pay in cheques and withdraw cash from your bank account at the PO. I don’t but I know many who do. I very rarely have cash and can pay cheques in, on the rare occasion I get one, on line.

Brian if you bank with HSBC (and possibly others) and own a smart phone, you can pay cheques in by taken a photo of it using the bank's app. Immediate confirmation and credit to your statement by next working day. Works well.

That’s what I said TWD. I do pay cheques in on line and very useful it is.

If you need to talk about the PO please start a new thread. This one is about RM pick up service.

I've been using this service for Ebay sales for several months and all works brilliantly. Except today, though. Got an email at 10.30 saying they couldn't collect and to take today's two items to a post office or reschedule. I'm assuming it's the snow but the post was missed yesterday too before the snow. Have rescheduled for tomorrow so hopefully the postie comes ...
I use Tracked 48 which costs £3.25 for parcels under 1 kg, meets Ebay's tracking requirements and provides insurance up to £100.
