Hi, Steve. Have not been upstairs for 12 weeks, due to heat, and Birthday nor till August. Sounds like I am better staying as I am with hardboard, and track rubber. I have 2 Dapol ones, DCAnd DCC, for hovering.
As a hoover, they are superb. There is a small pad attached to a reservoir for IPA so I would say the Sharge would be surplus to requirements. As Rob suggests spend it on wine (women and song optional.)

hI, Rob, twould be a waste, not in to wine. Still got the bottles my french class gave me 3 years ago. Heather has booked a canal cruise, with lunch, but at our ages, everything we need/ want, has been bought. Heather was 74, 6 weeks ago, had same trouble. Would have done a Blue Pullman trip in uk, but Nothing similar in France. Its a job to find anything.

I too have a Sharge, which I have had for a few years - not sure how they can justify the current price - I thought I paid about half of what you quoted. As Steve says, the pad catches on point motor pins - but in conjunction with the track rubber (various makes) it works well.
