One dating back to 1980.
5000 was one of four locos stabled at Northwich for a few days en-route to the Rocket 150 celebrations at Rainhill. The others were Clan Line, Sir Nigel Gresley and Standard Class 4 tank 80079.
The local area manager at the time was a steam fan and organised an open day at the shed and somehow arranged for 5000 to pilot one of the regular ICI hopper trains up to Oakleigh sidings a couple of miles away (they normally had a class 40 banker to assist up the incline).
Sadly I didn't get a photo myself, but found this one by Chris Ravenscroft on Flickr a couple of years ago.

I think one of my old Navy medics might have said that. Or was he talking about STDs
And the Lord said unto John “Come forth and receive eternal life”, but John came fifth and won a toaster!

Sounds like something a 'medic' might say. However, the guy you want is probably my old friend LC&DR ;)
