Lovely photographs. I particularly like the signal box.

Once I’ve finished the peripherals of my layout, the plan is to bring the decking in from the edge and reduce the size of the well. I say “finished” of course they’ll always be things like scenery to improve on but I have to draw the line under it at some point and get on with the next phase.
So my layout as it stands at the moment comprises four ovals on two levels with a single line ramp connecting them. Each level has a station with the upper station having a small yard. My plan is now to add a large area to the lower level and this will comprise a termius station and depot. I should have enough room left over for a small village scene plus I’ll need to provide the main station with a foreground. I’m also trying to incorporate a small canal section but space is proving a problem.
Anyway, I’ve started to sketch out some ideas of what I can achieve in the space.

When I started my layout I didn’t bother with backscenes as I thought they looked a bit pants but decided to try one and must say think it looks rather good. Unfortunately trying to cut them in around my existing scenery is going to be a bit of a mare but I’m sold on adding more now

Hi Paul
Looking good there, I am a believer in backscenes the depth they add to the scene is really worth while. I also have a black furry supervisor.

My grey furry supervisor is no trouble, but the other cream coloured one tends to eat the telegraph poles so has been banned!

And this is why I love cats.

I would say that the results justify the effort you are putting in with the backscene.

The helix looks steep. Is it with 2nd radius track? Love the layout!
