The guy on the seat is looking at what is going on. Looks great.

Re: Wykeham - Somewhere in the south!
This arrived yesterday. I used to see this locomotive regularly in the late 1950's - early 60's in my trainspotting days at New Southgate (a few stops out of Kings X), and as my collection consists of southern region loco's, the Hornby NRM Collection and loco's I have actually seen, I thought "why not". It's a lovely loco, and nothing fell off when I took it out of the box - superbly packaged.

I agree Brian - I have a Mallard tucked away somewhere, but it's blue. I know it ran in blue at sometime, but most old enough to remember seeing it run in regular passenger service, would have seen it in lined green - and somewhat dirty.

When you paint the photographer make sure he has the correct type of camera for the period

Temptation not required. Some locos are a necessity.

I actually gasped out loud whilst opening the image of your Pacific. What a stunning sports car of a locomotive from the Golden Age of steam. Superb photography. The retaining wall, also, is keynote, and something I shall attempt to shamelessly plagiarize in the future.
