That looks great. When you see Dublo layouts at shows they are usually as if they are on the top of a large table with temporary scenery, but yours looks amazing.

I agree with Wtd.
Dublo layouts are like this --

Having scenery like yours makes everything look completely different. Well done.

Hello all
Thankyou for your kind words gentlemen.
When I was starting out on this collectors journey, I had a portable layout which I displayed on a few occasions this was a table top layout. In Meccano Limiteds own words "the perfect table top railway". When the opportunity arose and I gained access to the spare room I could do one of two things. I could go down the green baseboard route or the scenic way. Whilst looking through some Meccano Magazines I was struck by the readers layouts. So it was decided I wanted to create a layout in the style of those, wherever possible I have tried to use Items that were commercially available during the late fifties early sixties. In most cases this has been my guide, there are some exceptions the most obvious has been my Linka experiments some of the Superquick kits are new releases but being cardboard they feel the part. The trees are cheap Chinese offerings as are most of the people suitably repainted. Little Weldons station has been populated with Dinky Toy figures.
I have been down both routes now and I must admit the scenery in my opinion has helped to enhance the Dublo models.

Hello all
Not much modelling happening on Little Weldon at the moment but I have been running trains. There have been some new additions to the fleet over the last week.

The breakdown crane is an impressive piece of kit. I hope you don't mind me saying that I find the photos with the 'giant' boxes somewhat Monty Pythonesque. I imagine that next a giant foot comes down and splats everything. Perhaps Chops will make a video like this one day.

I have one of those cranes and they are lovely cast metal items. The only thing I would change are the large plastic couplings, as they are overscale in comparrison to the normal metal H.Dublo couplings.
