Ah! The engine room all 'spick and span'. I remember it well. I was in the engine room of SS Uganda (pre Falklands) another engine room that was immaculate.

We are doing an anticlockwise cruise of New Zealand in January - depart Melbourne on 10th Jan after spending Christmas with our family .

For those who like Royal Yachts --

HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said and two of his personal fleet of pleasure craft of the Oman Royal Yacht Squadron.

'Al Said' in Muscat Oman 25th November 2019 It is Number 1 in the Royal Squadron.

Excuse my ignorance but given the size of those royal ‘boats’ at what point does a boat become a ship. Not to mention nomenclature of ‘vessel’.

I’ve always thought a ship was a large sea going boat. Unless it is a submarine, they are always boats.
