No Brian - it's the one with "steam", and not "Limited". Luckily I had a large number of Reward Points so they reduced the price considerably. I have not yet tried the steam - I need to get some de-ionised water - they only had 5-litre cans locally, which would probably last a life-time, so looking for a 1-litre bottle. I see Halfords have 1-litre bottle for £1.59 - so will get some.

Chaos in my "railway room" at the moment. All track has now been relaid, ballasted and connected to the bus wire - so loco's can run from one end of the layout to the other. However, I am having a re-think about storage. Having a number of B&Q kitchen base units and wall units sitting under my boards, I am in the process of repositioning them to try and give more room (can you ever have enough?) for storage. I hope to have it all finished today, so that I can hopefully get back to a degree of normality - watch this space

I have started re-instating the 3rd rail. A fiddly job, but once you get the hang of it, it is fairly straightforward. It helps to file a short point on the end of the rail - it makes threading the "chairs" on a little easier. I still have about six feet to do, but hopefully will not take long. The 3rd rail is "Z" gauge track (Peco Code 60).

Makes a huge difference when you are running 3rd rail trains.

All of the 3rd rail has now been re-instated. Some painting required, but that should only take a few minutes. Once done, a quick track-clean and then the tunnel/hill can go back onto the layout. I had to remove one of the backscenes from its board - it got torn during board removal - considering changing all backscenes as they have faded over the ten years they have been on place.
