I wasn’t happy with the yellow panels mainly because the yellow is so lightly pigmented it shows any flaw - repainted this morning.
Also sprayed some gloss varnish patches for the decals which will be sealed with an overall coat of satin varnish tomorrow.

At the weekend I took a step back from the 47 - I wasn’t happy with something. Eventually realised that one transfer was slightly out of line and the paint appeared too thick at the ends.
Quickly learnt that Dettol is a fine stripper for acrylics!
Now repainted and ready for fresh transfers. Also managed some spraying of the front end detail parts.

Looking good - I was beginning to wonder what you were up to, but assumed you had matters more important than respraying my loco....... appreciate your attention to detail and looking forward to seeing how this develops.
Thanks Richard

Just a case of one step forward, two steps back. I didn't want to put anything on here until I'd got back to where I started.
Transfers tomorrow - with a bit of luck.

It’s taken a week to get back to where I was last Thursday.

Refitted the cab interiors, glazing, some front end detail plus all new handrails. One light lens to go then on to the buffer beam details before a little bit of weathering, but not too much.

A ‘pristine’ photo before I start some weathering.
