Sorry Steve - I think I was looking at one of the earlier pictures. I had assumed it would be darker. I can see at picture 1250 it is weathered - wearing wrong glasses

This has not been a total success.
A combination of trying a print with too many fine parts and poor orientation in the printer has resulted in failed prints.
The supports for the footbridge have a couple of chunks that failed to print.

And the walkway floor, which was supposed to be a fine grid proved too fragile to extract from the supports.

I stuck it all together anyway to check the sizing. I think you can see what I am trying to achieve.

This morning, I’ve made some changes - the floor is now solid although I hope I have retained some mesh detail. I have also made the sections shorter and changed the orientation of the print in the printer.
Whether it works or not remains to be seen.

Given how much you’ve got right over a very short space of time a couple of blips here and there is negligible. To the learning curve that is, not materials.

To me that is a pretty complicated print so well done.

After a couple of revisions, I reprinted the footbridge. Still not perfect but good enough for Government work. Now at the fully painted stage. I’ve also painted the coble to represent the ‘Mizpah’ from Staithes and made some detail parts to add to it.

Nice work. Are you putting a sign at each end advising users to take hedge cutters with them?

Did I say it was finished?
I shall trim my bush tomorrow.

A quick plug for an alternative paint and spray equipment supplier.
https://tiendaracingcolors.com/en/
I managed to lose a small part from one of my air brushes last week (don’t ask) . Shouldn’t have been a problem as it was from a world renowned manufacturer that has a very good spares backup supply.
The trouble was that there were none to be found at any supplier in the UK. I can guess why.
Found this supplier in Barcelona, with spares in stock, so I ordered the part last Thursday. Not cheap but they said they could have it delivered this coming Wednesday. It actually arrived at 9:30 this morning - ignoring the weekend and that’s effectively 48 hour delivery. Excellent service.
I didn’t order any at the time but I also noticed that their Vallejo model paints are competitively priced - probably use them in future rather than Amazon.

Completed the ‘Mizpah’ and added the mooring ropes, lobster pots and marker flags. I’ve also used PVA and ModPodge to create water and ripples. I do have to add some white highlights when I get some time.

However, it’s not such a good story at t’other end of the layout. I’ve painted the river area with two coats of PVA, from the same bottle as the other end and on the same day but it refuses to dry clear - if anything it’s got cloudier as the day has gone on. Will have to leave this for a few days to see if anything changes.
