Can you not lift the shed off to get to the track?

No, that's the problem, WTD, those crossbars, strips, call them what you will, lie under the track, so you can't lift the shed without lifting the track as well. Also, I forgot to mention before, the shed is second-hand and the roofs are all firmly cemented on.

Artur

I understand. Should the roof be removable.

Quite right, WTD. I would certainly have left the roofs loose.

Pity it’s stuck are you sure it can’t be removed very carefully, not with a hammer. If you can’t get to the track it will cause you endless problems eventually.

I'll certainly look at that roof more closely, WTD, but there are four panels per bay, so if I have to do the modification to the floor, I will. As you say, leaving those tracks inaccessible will be a ticking time-bomb.

The curves of the northern approach have been superelevated as described in post 113. The strips of card under the outer rails can just be made out. I must say I'm quite pleased with the effect. Debating now whether to superelevate the curved tracks through the station.

Connected the Gaugemaster handhelds recently, so the cab control's now operational. It is possible to send a train through the reversing loops non-stop by setting the CW and ACW mainline controllers to the same speed. This will be useful for running track-cleaning trains. Otherwise, I'm just marking time now playing trains for a bit. There are a few videos on flickr, in case anyone's interested. https://www.flickr.com/photos/188026976@N08/

Super videos Artur - how many trains can you run at once - I assume eventually it will require multi-operators? BB
