Which software are you referring to? Some software does allow you to change the grid snapping constraints.
I 'designed' it using Tinkercad. Yes, it probably does have the ability to change - I just ain't found it. :o
Same as the slicing software, I just use Halotbox as I know it is set up for my entry level Halot One printer.

When I find something I'm happy with, I tend not to change - I still use a 2011 version of Zoombrowser that came with a Canon camera I bought back then. I'm still using that as well.

Steve,
People get turned off 3D printing when it gets to technical Protect your thread. Just saying :)

Two lessons learnt tonight - a) leaving the print bed in the washer when starting a new print in the printer will not end well. b) don't attempt anything technical when tired.
Now attempting to clean some illshaped lumps of resin from the resin hopper.

I have developed a form of modelling masochism.
After the exercise to populate my ‘genesis’ coaches I have embarked on an exercise to add passengers to my other coaching stock. I now have around 150 to paint. Plus the 20 drivers currently in the printer and some small workshop detailing.

Well, I have to be in the right mood.
I separated the figures from their bases and only ‘lost’ a few feet - not an issue as these are all destined to be inside carriages and have been printed slightly under scale to help them fit.
The next time the mood takes me, I will stick each one on a cocktail stick and blow them over worth a quick waft of white primer.
But do I have enough cocktail sticks?

They will great when finished - you are obviously a glutton for punishment.

Some painstaking work ahead of you Steve! The coaches will look very authentic with people populating them, looking forward to seeing the results.

I bet you haven’t even started yours yet!
No, I didn’t have enough cocktail sticks.

This feels a bit daunting.
