Diesels at Crown Point.
Re: Diesels at Crown Point.
Another memory jogger here for me. As an apprentice engineer I started work for company just round the corner from Stourton (Pepper Road Hunslet) and regularly spend my lunch times watching freight trains being shunted into sidings there ( think freightliner use them now). And container trains heading for stourton itself. Used to regularly see a pair of class 31s with sand for the glass works too. Again, happy days.

The company I used to work for were to (and did) move from the centre of Leeds to Stourton. The week before they did I moved to near Newcastle. They were opening a new depot there. I never got to see Stourton.

New Industrial units arrived and built.
The Industrial Estate has been given a revamp.
Here is the overall view.

Re: Diesels at Crown Point.
About eight years ago I bought the two (green roof and blue roof) units (sheds) from a Company in Nottinghamshire. They were specially made with with names of businesses I knew well. The units are well made and have been moved around on different layouts.
I have never seen or heard of the Company since.
The new red brick, brown roof unit I bought from wargaming.co? (Unusual I know.) It had to be built, painted etc. Really easily came together.

Re: Diesels at Crown Point.
The "yard" looks very good - what you might call early industrial units? Is that an Austin Cambridge or Morris Oxford sitting outside Pankhursts?
