Diesels at Crown Point.

Whilst young Jimmy Marston is still fixing the wheel on the wagon, to the right is Agnes Marston's new Hillman Imp.
Charlie Marston must have sold an engine and spent a 'few bob'.

Whilst I am posting a picture or two of cars, here is another one. Last year or so (pre Covid 19) my younger granddaughter and I would visit model railway shows and 1-1 big stuff. Anyway, whilst at the Hartlepool Show, she bought me this 'old timer'. It is parked in pride and place at Roseville Station.

Folks,
My hopes were raised when I logged on tonight and saw a post entitled “Diesels at Crowne Point”, that dear old Glencairn was back on the forum, but alas it was only “Chops” commenting on a post from last Sept.
Given that Glencairn was a very active forum member with his dual purpose “Steam trains at Sovereign Street” or Diesels at Crowne Point” layout, it is more than worrying in these troubled times that his last post references visiting shows with his grand-daughter pre Covid, but since then there has been no sign of him.
A few weeks back I did enquire via Brian if he had any info, but he did not........ I very much hope that all is well with Glencairn and that he is simply taking a break from model railways - I do however miss his charming story lines and hope in years to come I too can share my layout with my grandchildren in the manner he did so much enjoy.
Stay safe - Richard

I too have missed Glencairn and have worried whether his sudden absence was health related. Like Hound Dog, I miss both his photos and his stories about them. And, of course, his sense of humour. Let's hope he's healthy and returns recharged.
Re: Diesels at Crown Point.
It's a shame that, bar a limited few, on here we don't know much about the real world location or health status of individuals.
I know some know each other 'in real life' (ie life without a monitor/phone or keyboard in front of us) but the majority don't.
I too wish him well and if it is possible for the Admins to determine the e-mail address or other information and contact him it would be a service to us all. Let's hope he hasn't succumbed to the dreaded virus.
If you're reading this, GlenCairn, I'm sure that there are many would like you to say 'Hi, I'm fine' or similar.

Re: Diesels at Crown Point.
I sent him some books back in October. As was said earlier, he does use another forum, and has been posting this month. I'm sure he is fine.
