Great news, Steve. I've opened the bottle of whisky. :)

Be careful to weed out the rascals however - only the guilty look away when placed on the naughty step !

Glad the news was encouraging Steve.
Don't worry too much about the oily fish, I'm sure it's only benefit is to help you slip away easier :D

Glad to hear all ok Steve - you can always have a cod liver oil capsule instead of the "oily fish". I had my heart MRI in early January and the follow-up with the consultant in early April - so assume nothing to worry about. Still waiting on the results of the sleep apnea test, and the doc. is ringing next week re the hypertension review - so probably statins - I await my fate. Barry

Thanks for the comments.

I suspect that more exercise will help - I bought the memsahib an exercise bike to help with her physio after a knee op some years ago, so I guess I should put it to good use.
I will be ‘repossessing’ my bike from the son’s garage when he moves in the next few months - in time for better weather in the summer.

Now I wonder if it possible to get fit just by looking at the equipment rather than using it? :D

I have my annual hypertension MoT next week. No doubt I will get the same lecture about, no sugar on your breakfast cereal, no biscuits, no cake, less alcohol, more exercise, etc. Probably get a rollocking for not taking all the pills they recommend.

Same goes for me with the bike - waiting for better weather, although they have been serviced and had new tyres, etc after being parked up for ten years in Cyprus - too hot to pedal a bike out there and if you left it in the sun the tyres would pop.
