That was a good idea. I keep all my "oddments" in one litre ice cream tubs (labelled).

It finally arrived. Totally out of place on the layout, but still a nice model.

Is that what you got from Locomotion Models. I would definitely have got one of those.

Yes Brian, ten days to successfully place an order then ten days in the post. But as I said in the other post, such a good price it was worth waiting for.
I haven't been able to run it or even think about a decoder (that will be a challenge!) yet as I'm tackling some more building work in 1:1 scale and finding that my old hips ain't up to snuff anymore. :D

Strange isn’t it, you start a job and a bit later think ooh that hurts.

I find that I hurt before I even start! My recent fence construction was totally drug assisted.
Thirty years ago I concreted the driveway after a burst pipe was fixed. The concrete had started to break up in a couple of places where my car usually stands - it seems that brake dust dissolved in rainwater is corrosive as the worn sections match my tyres.
I cut the concrete out with a stone cutting machine and a Kangol hammer - concrete mixing tomorrow if I can get out of bed !!

Nice loco - it looks like a shortened "swiss crocodile"?
Sounds like you are doing too much "hard work"? I have a broken fence post to remove - it's broken flush with the concrete, and about eighteen inches from a one hundred foot Lime tree. It's the only wooden post we have and it forms the main post at a "T" junction of fence panels - I think a job for the better weather after I have finished watching all the YouTube videos on broken fence post removal. It is a job I have done before - hence all posts barring this one are now concrete with slot-in fence panels.
New windows being fitted next week, so hopefully work on the layout will resume??

Yes it does resemble something Johnnie Foreigner would come up with.

Can you get concrete posts for a T junction? I don't recall seeing any when I was researching my fence last month.

I have seen them (may be 4-way?), but not sure they would fit into to existing "lump" of concrete - in the past (pre-concrete posts) I have managed to get the old wooden post out and replace it with a new one.
