Never had a problem with key fob batteries. Always changed a battery in one fob after about 6-9 months. The manual tells of how to synch it with the existing fobs and car, usually nothing more than press button A for a couple of seconds until the car reacts.
Thereafter replace each battery as it dies.
My new motor tells you the fob battery is dying and its easy to replace.
My new motor tells you everything, including drive home quickly your tea is ready.

As we are talking cars I had the pleasure today to have a tyre wiped out by a pothole. Made my day. Hope the wheel is OK, had to change it in pitch black on a country road, will have a look tomorrow.

Brian if you get a chance, return and photograph the pothole. You may be able to claim against the council for repairs. They can also crack the coil springs in the suspension - worth checking.

WTD, reminds me of The Navy Lark, and John Pertwee, Potholes, Chief, he had able seaman johnson, filling them. Sorry about your tyre.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the roads were maintained to a standard that made claims for damage unnecessary.
Now there’s a thought.

Elderly friends of ours killed a wheel and tyre in a pothole on a single track slip road onto a busy dual carriageway. Police had to close the slip road until they were recovered. Upon claiming from the council they were told to go back and photograph it. They asked the Police if that would be OK and were told definitely do not stop there and get out to take a photograph. Far too dangerous. Tell the council to go and look themselves. They were also asked to get three quotes - Really ? its a VX wheel that you can only get from VX so the price will be the same. They won their case and had a new wheel and tyre.

It would be good but probably cheaper to just pay the compensation. R-

2 inch split/hole in the tyre wall. I’ll stick a bit of sellotape over it.
