Any thoughts of making a brake coach version of one of those 4 wheeled coaches?

Yes MG. I am toying with such an idea. I just need the time.

As mentioned previously, Britain were preparing for the eventuality of a war in 1909. Ambulance trains and preparations for casualties were being made.
Here are medical staff with a couple of 'casualties' in training.

If only it turned out like such.

Thanks for your comments, IanAlan. Much appreciated.
Here in Northumberland and the Borders we are trying to protect the red squirrels from the grey ones.
These two are safe.

Trains pass at Sovereign Street.
Leeds Scarcroft & Wetherby Rlwy passenger train is heading north. The coach behind the engine is a repainted 'Clarabel' from the Thomas the Tank range.

My son made a breakdown crane thirty something years ago. It still gets a 'trip down the line'. It is now in some need of restoration.

Throughout this pictorial of 'Sovereign Street' I mention Barnbow Munitions Factory and it's 'Lasses' who worked there.
Now the site has all but gone and is to be a housing estate. I now understand Bellway Homes, builders on part of the site have its street names chosen in tribute to the women (the ‘Barnbow lasses’) who died in an explosion at the nearby Barnbow munitions factory during WW1 – including Ethel Jackson Road, Amelia Stewart Lane, Jennie Blackamore Way, Maggie Barker Avenue, Olive Yeates Way and Ada Glassby Court.
