I think that the best Railway colour range is
www.phoenix-paints.co.uk
This is all probably personal opinion but I think they are a wonderful range of colours but they sometimes take some mixing to get them ready for use.

I think you are right. I generally buy a few at shows.

When I want some paint Brian I normally give him a ring and he puts it in the post but it is better to order a few because you will save on the postage.

Sorry to take this thread on a tangent. ... I used some acrylic paints last night for the first time. All were acrylic.
I used a Tamiya matt black, an Italeri gloss red and Vallejo hull red and off white both matt.
The nicest of the finishes was the Italeri. Even though is it said it was a gloss, it wasn't really. Both the Vallejo's were not far behind. The big surprise was the Tamiya. It was by far the worst. Even though is was meant to be a matt finish, the finish was very very glossy. I am assuming I have not mixed the paint up sufficiently. I will give it a good mix and test it before proceeding any further.

Matt paint will dry gloss if it hasn’t been thoroughly stirred for several minute. Make sure there is no thick paint on the bottom of the container, keep stirring until it is gone.
