Because a member of the family had dementia does not mean others in the family will follow suit. My father-in-law ended his days with it yet his father and grandfather both reached 100 and died of old age nothing more.
Fingers crossed Brian. It got both grandparents on Mum’s side and so far it also claimed five out of six of their offspring - and we’re keeping a close eye on the six that are still with us. They didn’t have a TV - obviously.
Funnily enough Mum was the only one not affected by dementia.

Knackers yard, decrepit, wrecks - you must be on the wrong forum PP.
Take a look around Barry, I don’t think Ian is wrong.
I reckon that collectively, we are the cause of panic in the NHS.

All Flying Scotsman trips on the Mid-Hants are sold out - Feb 29th/March 1st and 7th/8th March. There has been mention (BBC Southern News) of the 14th February but there is nothing on the Mid-Hants website.

I work with group of blokes in our fields we maintain. I’m the baby at 70.

I believe they wanted £39 per head, with no entry to non-travelling customers. The MHR is not the easiest to view standing in the fields - but I wish them well as they need a good year after the debacle of the bridge closure last year. Bet that cost them a few bob in lost revenue.

I reckon that collectively, we are the cause of panic in the NHS.
Here is my panic to the N.H.S.
I was born with a hole in the heart and was given only a couple of weeks to live. Every time a doctor gets out his/her stethoscope he/she gets a sound of my heart having a heart attack. At one time I was a regular for hospital food.
Then the doctors got used to it and would let things pass.
The older doctors have /or are retiring.
When I see a new doctor at the surgery and I see the stethoscope I know what is coming.
The last time I went to the doctors, I wanted a repeat prescription.
"Oh, Whilst you are here I shall give you a quick examination," said the doctor producing a stethoscope.
I spent four days in hospital.
On the way out they gave me the prescription I originally wanted.
Two more new doctors have joined the surgery!

Someone once said "a creaking gate lasts a long time". [for "creaking" read decrepit etc....]. R-

If SWMBO starts posting then we know there’s a problem.

the last time that happened was on Hornby Forum, when Graskie died. Mrs graskie posted, from memory. Great loss, guy with great humour.
