I use tiny screws - I do a pilot hole first with the Arhimedes drill then carefully screw in the little screw. It makes continually changing the layout fun - or altering it.
If you use screws they're easy to remove, so those that prefer glue as the final fix can do the same as me, then remove easily any screws.

Ian,i have been saying that for years.I, Never use pins, always, diddy screws. What a sensible man.

Pins of any type are really not needed once the track is bonded in place by ballast and the glue has set dry.
I got a packet of SL-14 pins and they worked perfectly without a pilot hole. I have quite a bit of track that is going to be hidden eventually so that will not be ballasted.

just dont get fed up, and want to change anything. Those of us, who do, on a regular basis, dont Ballast, and only screw track. Makes life, much easier.
