Apart from walking into the local A&E and saying that you have broken your leg and will fix it yourself
where can you buy plaster bandage, this method of newspaper and strip card and bandage is what my dad used in the early sixties
but yes I remember the mess. Ff

Loads on ebay, just look for modroc plaster bandage.

Thanks as you know Iam now an Alien European
and we are getting lots of extra charges on things we get from Blighty, but the link to Hobby Craft comes up with a French site 1.49€ per roll, thankyou.Ff

Glad the link helped. Increased charges are working the other way as well - I ordered a small part for a drill the other day from a German company (nothing suitable in UK). It was only €5.60 but postage etc has added an extra €15.
Apparently some people voted for it.
