Yes MDF is a bad choice.

More or less worked how the other end of the 'U is going to look now. Just missing a couple of points I can't seem to source anywhere.

What sort of points are you trying to find?

I need two or three RH PECO Setrack ones to finish it off. Have some new left-handers still packaged I can swop.

Most retailers have no stock due to the Peco / Covid, / stay at home increased sale etc etc
I assume it is the ST-240 Peco OO gauge SETRACK Right Hand Turnout Point that you require
If yes Derails have plenty in stock at £10.50 and free post over 20 quid, speak to Big Dan or Little Dan they are very helpful.

I hope they have them in stock as they will be nice and new. If you are still struggling to find some I can take a look, though some of my old points (Peco) were opened out a little to accept old Triang wheel flanges. (They still work with modern stock and it was mostly the streamline points that I opened out).
Another consideration is to use a Hornby point instead. One will need to use the Hornby point solenoid which has its tabs in a different place to go with the Hornby point, but as set track points go, the newer Hornby points are pretty good.

Almost identical to Peco and Hornby are the Bachmann points too. They are also rare, but it does open up your search to more options. The Bachmann points are identical to Hornby so will need the different point motors for surface mounting.

I have never had a Bachmann point, but I did hear it mention that Bachmann points had live frogs hence why I thought it best to only mention Hornby as they have dead frogs like the Peco settrack points have.

Does anyone have a Bachmann point to clarify if they have live or dead frogs and if they are code 100?

I will say though, if one can't find a Peco Settrack product, Hornby are so similar they are practically a drop in fit. The only main difference in geometry are their diamond crossings. (I have always bought Peco diamond crossings so I did not get to work out Hornbys left and right handed diamond crossings thoug they seem simple enough. Peco crossings are not handed and work either way round which makes things easier as it saves one having to buy the right one).

Loads of new and second hand Peco points on eBay. Worth a look.

I have 1 Bachmann point, it is NOT live frog, the frog is plastic just like Hornby's, but it is not self isolating - so it works just like a Hornby point that has digital point clips (R8232) fitted. They are code 100, just like Hornby and they are identical to look at, maybe a very slightly different colour of sleepers.
