Knowing the demographics of model rail shows, I would have tested before attending any way. To do otherwise would be irresponsible. Sadly, too few seem to have be able to use common sense in their daily lives.
I know there are no legal requirements for people to take public health measures but we are lucky if 5% of our customers take any precautions when entering the shop.

I actually got dressed today. Fewer aches but the throat is an absolute killer. Did a fresh test which shows I'm still a bio hazard.
My wife is at the cough, aches and fatigue stage - stayed in bed all day.
This is going to take some time.

Seems for me that I keep ducking and diving, whilst co-workers have had it and my wife and both kids have been infected, I have avoided it on all occasions. I test regularly but there seems no explanation to it at all.

It's not that I want it, just seems whoever I have come into contact that tests positive, does not pass it on.

The brain fog shows no signs of clearing yet and test still shows positive. On top of that, hay fever is on the horizon.
I have ventured to the shed though. Stuck together a couple of inspection steps kits (all of three pieces each!) and now need a lie down.

Steve, hi, sorry its dragging on. What do you take for Hay Fever. Its rampant over here , and i have suffered for years. Thought we might compare notes, as my Dr, has it, under control. French take Ebastine, 10 mg, and spray with Mometasone. I have one tablet, each morning, and one spray. Holds it totally, under control. Might be worth a look on the net. john

I am also on Mometasone but combined with Desloratadyne - prescribed for allergic rhinitis a couple of years ago.
Occasionally my breathing gets so difficult I also use a decongestant spray by the name of Utabon. I stumbled on it on holiday in Spain some years ago. I much prefer it to the usual Sinex versions, much less harsh on the nose. Not available in the UK though - I actually buy a few bottles each time I visit Barcelona for F1. My supplies are getting low having missed going for the last couple of years.
I only became aware of hay fever in the last ten years and never suffered as a youngster - I guess I grew into it.
My blocked nose symptoms are made worse by a spur of cartilage that closes down one side of my nose - waiting to hear if the consultant is able to operate but at present they just keep bumping appointments further down the road.
‘Kicking the can down the road’ has become a political philosophy over here.

Steve, i had a similar op when in scotland. I have never seen so much wadding come from one nostril. Twas like the magician, with the never ending stream of flags. There was yards of the stuff. Op was complete success, and i drove home. we lived in Stranraer, and op was in Ayr. Hope you both soon recover.
