Hatton’s have just announced they are now offering Amazon delivery as an alternative to Royal Mail. £4 or £5 depending on weight makes it a very competitive alternative.

According to todays papers the French postal service is in disarray so perhaps your missing mail is in a sack somewhere in France. :D

Probably hidden under a hedge on John’s country estate. Maybe the gamekeeper will find it soon. :D

Then you get the other extreme, three emails today from DHL:

1. We're picking up your order
2. We've picked up your order
3. We have your order and will let you know when we'll deliver it

I expect at least two more tomorrow:

4. We're delivering your order today
5. We've delivered your order
:D

Country Estate, Steve, Tis only 3.5 acres. Mind you there are a lot of hedges. I ordered a FS Tt set from Hornby, in November. The whole of uk and Germany have got theirs, even Roger, but mine is in Amsterdam. That is with Hermès.

Ah Hermes, that explains it. Mind you since they changed their name to Evri they seem much better, no idea why that should be.
A few years ago I returned a car roof box in a large box about 4x4x3 ft and Hermes lost it.

Which, considering we are in the depths of Dorset is some achievement. 😄 R-

it sat for 20 days at uk airport then 10 days in amsterdam. They are great at telling you where it is , but not soo good at saying when you will receive it. Here they are called Collis Prive, they also deliver for Atlas, ( clothing). I spoke with Hornby, who apparently are aware of their shortcomings. I am arranging to have all hedges monitored for recent activity.
