Personally I look at many threads and admire the work in the modelling. I find there is so much to see. Before I know it I have to stop looking and have to take time to look after my wife who is partially disabled. Therefore I do not comment.

Should you carry on posting?

I don't know if other people have trouble with dust. I am lucky in that the switching layout is in a spare bedroom and is only visited by me or friends on odd occasions for running sessions. So every now and then I have a session with a soft brush and Henry with his flexible tube.

A few pictures of the All Day and Night CF7. A more modern Athearn model in the east yard at Benson. I know these locomotives are not popular with everyone but I rather like them myself. They are purposeful and functional looking to my eyes.

I think they all look great. At one time, before the great downsizing, I was considering a layout such as yours. Not as masterfully detailed of course but I do like those heavy engines. In a recent trip to see family in USA I narrowly avoided financial ruin at several model shops. Keep the photos coming, I love them R-

You have three layout threads on the go, each flooded with photos, maybe its a little much for some members. they can only reply so many times. This is not criticism only a observation.

The model was not very large about 13 feet long and 2 feet tapering to 18inches wide.
I modelled the American scene for over twenty years.
I now model the old GWR and BR using basically the same track layout with a few changes to the track and different buildings. It is now called Broadoak.

I don't like Marmite but I do like the BL2.
I have two of them, one is Rock Island in the maroon with yellow striping livery an the other is Western Maryland in Black.
Both are Proto 2000 with DCC and the WM BL2 has sound.
In the 60s British Trix and AHM marketed a BL2 H0 scale model made by Tempo in I think Yugoslavia.

Hunslet, did you have trouble with the gears braking up like mine did?

A few photos of a Rock Island SW9 yard switcher in an early livery. She is seen working in the yard at Benson. I think this was a Lifelike model but I’m not sure, it was a long time ago. Now of course all my American models have been sold.

I cannot remember changing them but I have had them for some time.
There used to be a shop in Slough that I got spares from so have changed the axles in some of my P2K models at some times.
