Although they will take parcels up to 2Kgs, there is a size limit, not only of a max dimension but a limit of all three dimensions added together, which rules out most train-set boxes. A shame because the postage rates to overseas was quite good.

I had reason to return an expensive new keyboard to the retailer who I contacted on Wednesday. They arranged a collection via PF for Thursday. Item was collected at lunchtime yesterday and was delivered at 12:03 to the Retailer's depot in Liverpool today. Excellent service.
(The reason I returned the keyboard:- it was just too complicated for me (age) to take advantage of it's copious advanced features, doh)

Still OK for locos and rolling stock. Can’t recall the last time I had a train set. 1959 I think.

Largest is a medium parcel whose dimensions cannot exceed 46 x 46 x 61 cm which covers most model railway items. Larger than that you can use Parcel Force where no one dimension can exceed 150 cm.

I was referring to sending stuff overseas by RM. Their app quotes a max of 60 cms on any one dimension with a max total of all dimensions no more than 90 cms. I agree larger items can go by PF or a host of other carriers at greater cost. I was attracted by the free pickup from home that is running at present.

Less than 24hrs yesterdays pickup took, door to door all for £2-85. Nice one RM.

On a similar topic, Hattons have started using Amazon shipping for abnormal size parcels such as 1 meter lengths of flexi track. £4 next day delivery.

using RM regularly with my ebay sales with their online portal to buy online and arrange a collection.

coupled with the usual village postman it so far is working well, just ensure you have a safe place to leave your items.
