Looks good but shouldn’t the area around the entrance to the coal lift be concrete or similar and not grass? :D

A question about the J36 I picked up the other week - I’ve added some real coal and made some fire irons and need to add a crew to complete the cab.
I presume the driver would be on the left hand side and would use his right hand to operate the regulator? If so, why am I struggling to find a driver figure who is using his left hand ie a right sided driving position.

It’s a cracking model though. :)

I use the Dapol figures. They have one with his right arm out. He is holding a sledge hammer down by his left side, I think, but you can’t see it from the back.

Couldn’t he just have his arms by his side.

I finished the changes to ty engine shed quicker than expected and I’m starting to think hat changes to the layout can be accommodated in this corner.

I’m wondering if it’s worth joining up the two red dots on the photo to create a continuous run. It wouldn’t be particularly difficult, and a single track lift out section would not be difficult to move or store - but it would mean big changes to the traverser. At worst it would be removed completely but it could just be shortened but that in turn limits storage and the lift out section would be in its way.

Really not sure about the way forward.
