I expect your customer is very pleased with the final result. I showed the photos to SWMBO and she was well impressed

That is brilliant - well done Steve. I'm sure the new owner will love it
Just needs a layout to run it on

Finally arrived at its new home early this afternoon. It looks very good in those photos you took of it - it was in the gift wrap before I had the chance to admire it!
Payment by Bank Draft
ps After you wrapped this pkg there must be a world shortage of Brown parcel tape, not to mention Sellotape

The repaint of the Duchess started with a debate over the correct shade of crimson, well it seems I am about to start another regarding the correct shade of LNER apple green.
So, Doncaster or Darlington?

What is it you're painting? I don't know if differences include Inverurie or Cowlairs works.
I've lots of LNER green photos but there are too many to try and tie it down. Let me know what class (and date) and we'll see if I can do anything

Cheers Ian. It will be the second water tender for the A1/3. Fortunately the front tender is available for comparison. Once I have all the details I’ll let you know.

Started the next project- to get the one on the left to match the one on the right.

I’ve removed the handrails and given it a wipe over with IPA before spraying some white primer. The intention is to use the paint as a filler for the slight scratches on the body. There has been some reaction with the paint on the roof so I presume that was an oil based paint. I’ll give it some time to dry before sanding it back again - hopefully I won’t have to fully strip the old paint.

Steve wouldn’t it be easier to make the right one match the left one?
