P&O cruise ship 'Arcadia' on long lay-up in the Port of Tyne. I believe she will remain there until the end of the year./

Here are a couple of cruse ship photos taken in Dublin during the Dublin River Festival.
The “Peace Boat” is worth looking up.

The “Queen Victoria” has to be the ugliest of ships, though I dear say she is very luxurious in side. She is underway in the photo.

The river festival is an annual event with races for the Old Gaffers in Dublin Bay that is why we sailed over there most years.

Lovely pictures, Journeyman.
The Peaceboat 'The Oceanic' kept its name throughout its life ( except for a very short time) even though several Companies owned her. Unfortunately she, like many of her age' has gone to the scrappers.
Peaceboat themselves, a Japanese Organisation, then acquired 'Ocean Dream' from Carnival Corporation. That was for a short period because now their new ship is 'Zenith' from Royal Caribbean International, renaming her The 'Zenith'
'Queen Victoria' is luxurious inside. The staff themselves are more 'easy going and more attentive to passengers (imo) than QM2 and QE.
Edit. Journeyman, is that Disney Magic to the right of Queen Victoria?

Not sure Glencairn, the only time I take much notice of the Cruse Ships is when they shadow us at night. They have a habit of reducing speed at night so they arrive at the next destination in the morning. For safety they move out of the shipping lanes and of cause that's whare we are. It’s quite disturbing to have that wall of lights behind you doing the same speed and if they are down wind of you the smell is appalling.
Dave.

Thanks for your answer, Dave. I asked because the gold colour on the bow of the ship looks very similar to the Disney Magic picture at the top of this page.
