Not the most fascinating pictorial update, quiet mundane really;

Decided to heighten the back scene boards, that’s as far as I can go. The first coat of storm clouds applied. Trees yet to be replanted.

Not mundane at all IMO.
All the little things are what make it all gel, I don't have the skill to paint a background, so will rely on printed backscenes, but yours look very effective.

Having tried and failed to paint backgrounds I can safely say that yours are excellent.

I'm tempted to have a go at doing my own back scene... maybe taking a leaf out of the 'Bob Ross' style of wet-on-wet... but I worry about the drying time.

Around a week to dry.

Remember one foot away in modelling is 76 feet away in real. 76 feet away and beyond things become hazy.

More forestry and the buddleia is in full bloom. I think I’ll be adding more bushes of that size just so they don’t look so stark.



I wasn’t totally happy with the goods yard surface so I’ve had another scatter of bbq ashes. I’m happier with the surface but it needs dirtying. I’ll probably try something like sleeper grime from a rattle can, as opposed to washes with artists acrylics, as I did last time. I’ll have a test on a a spare piece of track first.
