It was very nice to find these metal cricketers, by Langely, if memory serves.
Supposedly they sell enough t make it worth the effort, but I’ve yet to see
them anywhere else, including the marvelous fox hunters.

The other cricket match had only an empty field made from billiard cloth.

Hi Gentlemen,
Thank you Puddles although I must confess that I'm not too keen on the pitch that I created. Regarding the cricketers (not my game to be honest), Model Scene also sell a rather attractive cricket pavilion kit and a cricket accessories pack. The pavilion might look good as a footballers' changing hut for my Sunday League players. I'm definitely tempted.

Meanwhile, the Wagons Keep Rolling.

Not for the first time, the Flying Scotsman gets in every photo. I wonder why that is.

I thought I'd try a few unusual angles, and they seem to have come out quite well. When I looked at them, they reminded me of a Soviet artist-photographer that I used to like called Alexander Rodchenko, so I looked up some of his photographs and my memory didn't do him justice. Great stuff. Truly beautiful. Perhaps sometime in the near future I'll have another go at black and white photos just for a change. I had some on the old MRF. I think the key to taking good black and white photos now, is to set the camera to black and white before starting to take them, not change colour to black and white. In the olden days of cameras containing film, the photographer's mind was trained to see the image in black and white even though looking through the viewfinder it was colour.

Hi HD and thanks for your comment about the nice photos. Regarding the LFC inspired place names, you're right although better might be Henderson Pass and Alexander-Arnold Corner.
