Would think it is only small and dishonest dealers like the Arther Dailys of the trade doing that sort of thing Brian..

I am quite happy to admit that I ‘clocked’ one of my cars.
It was my Spitfire, fully restored with my own fair hand. Used an electric drill to turn the odometer to the nearest 10,000. It was already on its (at least) second engine, which I had just had fully rebuilt and the speedo now reflects its mileage since the restoration.
At nearly 46 years old no one is likely to be bothered by the mileage anyway.
Incidentally it has now done 500 miles in 11 years.
