Steam Trains to Sovereign Street.
Re: Steam Trains to Sovereign Street.
Next to Roseville School a new Station has been built; Roseville Station. Sometimes it is named Roseville Halt.
A busy day tomorrow. Still some work to be done.

Gillingham Pier
Our train daft granddaughter arrived and almost took control of running trains 'on the main circuit'.
Meanwhile I was relegated to the Clarence Dock area.
As a supporter of Medway Queen Preservation Society https://www.medwayqueen.co.uk/ I have a few of their wagons they have commissioned.
Just for an hour or so I shunted wagons as if it was Gillingham Pier.
Here are a few pictures --

Hi
Have you been to Chatham Dockyard? If not, its a really great day out once attractions are permitted to re open.
Its the only place I've been on a Submarine and literately had to swung yourself between bulkheads as you progress along the Sub. (HMS Ocelot). Then onto the HMS Cavalier a Destroyer and find out what the 'Pigs Ear' is all about
The Ropery is a wonder to see. Many of the outdoor scenes for Call the Midwife are filmed there too

We look back with great amusement to when my wife had to swing herself through the sub bulkheads.

I like the dock wall created from old track bed - very effective - needs a bit of seaweed hanging from it?
Re: Steam Trains to Sovereign Street.
I have never been to Chatham Dockyard, Brian. I have seen submarines though. Four Russian submarines had just arrived at Blyth Northumberland for dismantling.
I saw and went aboard the (former USS) submarine Growler in New York Harbour. Interesting to say the least. In New York is (former USS) Intrepid, Aircraft Carrier.
We went aboard HMS Cavalier when she was on the River Tyne.
Amazing times.

Re: Steam Trains to Sovereign Street.
Most annoying thing about the USS Intrepid museum is the fact they have a Concorde. The USA almost killed it before it even started. They don’t deserve one.
