Always a pleasure to see British trains threading a path through the grouse.

Chops. The number of journeys I have taken along the secondary routes of British Railways have been mainly overgrown ones. I like that.
Class 47 47567 'Red Star' with a northbound parcels train passing Crown Point Yard. Matt Summers stops to see the train as he is still 'tidying up ' his garden after the strong winds. If he cut back the hedge he would see more.

Class 47 402 'Gateshead' with a Castleford to Leeds Central local train passing Charlie Marston's Yard.

Another Cass 47. This time 47404 'Hadrian' on a two coach local train Leeds Central to York. In real life although 47404 was a Gateshead based locomotive, it spent the most of its time around Birmingham. I guess the crews there liked it!

Great shots, nice ambience. Sounds as though the UK is considering shutting off tourism from the USA because so many of the denizens are too stupid or lazy to get the shot. So, this will have to be my "UK Holiday" for the time being.

Lovely shots I agree. As for international travel, things change so rapidly world-wide, what the situation will be in 9 months time is anyone's guess.

Thank you, Chops & IanS.
Younger Granddaughter here for a couple of days.
She had 47583 County of Hertfordshire running.

She wanted a picture of 'her shop'.

The fact all the girls born in our family are called Julia doesn't enter into it.

Always nice to have a couple of moggies on a layout. I'm new so I have some catching up to do on your layout build.

Kevin. Welcome on board. A knowledgeable lot on here.
As for the cats? A must really. We see them everywhere. Dogs also.

Having spent a week eating hospital food because of Covid 19 and now recovering (slowly) trains have not been run.
Two days ago we had more than a months rain in a couple of hours. Flood damage in the town was on a large scale. The train room was damaged somewhat. Clarence Dock was damaged most.
The bridge forming the circuit was also damaged.
IMG_5663.JPG
Temporary repair work was carried out today. Hopefully when fully dry the bridge will look okay. If not I do have some card to make a new bridge.

Tomorrow I shall do some repairs at Clarence Dock.

It's sad to hear of the damage to your layout, but I'm happy that you're recovering from what must have been a traumatic experience of CV19 in hospital.
