Primer and some light sanding completed. More importantly, the 3D printed number plates arrived from Railtec Transfers - absolutely exquisite.

Painting and transfers done on the 2-6-4T restoration.
Satin varnish and handrails still to be done.

That’s the Wrenn 2-6-4T restoration finished. One spot of paint drying then wrapped in new tissue paper before going off to the owner.

That numbered GWR loco was based at Reading, just a slightly different shape. Nice job Steve.

Two small projects.
The first is the repair of my 2MT that did a death dive off the lift out section. I’ve slowly built up the filler on the cab over the last week and sanded it back this afternoon. It’s just about there ready for a dusting of paint to show up any imperfections.

The second is a repaint of an S.R. Luggage van - so far it’s been dismantled, washed and given a very light coat of primer.

That’s the first project finished - repaint of the old SR luggage van to represent Churchill’s funeral van.
I’ll leave it for another day for the paint to fully harden then it’s off to its owner.

Must tidy the shed before the next one. :D

Thanks Mr B.

I made a start on the next loco project this morning - first step is always to test the loco before doing any work. But this one appears to be a poor runner.

Duncan, I have sent you a PM.

After yesterday’s false start I went back to the 8F today. It turns out that the poor running was cured by removing the decoder and fitting a blanking plug - runs well now and will have a different decoder fitted as part of the job. The old decoder will be tested and have a factory reset to see if that makes a difference to its performance.
In the meantime the masking has been done for the smokebox ahead of a coat of weathered black.
