Mass production creeps in. Interesting is the difference in the mortar, the kit on the right seems to be laser cut deeper and holds more of the wash applied. It may need some toning down or weathering. One pair for the side of the Red Lion and the other for down the terrace.

That one may need tempering down a bit. Nothing wrong with it but it may be a bit of a contrast with the others.
Curtains? Lights? Interiors?

Yes, all of that, just deciding which room to light and section off, didn’t want the whole house lit like Blackpool illuminations. Then the roof and gutters.
Surprising the difference the guttering has made. Rather large door steps to add. The left hand pair of the terrace were the first built and I forgot to add curtains, they’ll likely be put up for sale as vacant property

It seems like Saturday was Liberation Day; I spotted this locally, and at a bargain. It just had to come home.

Slow progress on Neptune Street, attention diverted to things like stay alive capacitors and real coal tender loads, but making a bit of progress on how the entrance to the shed is going to work out.
Need to make sure there’s enough room for the ‘old bill’ to pop in for a cuppa (although the van’s been in a time warp). Not sure who the dodgy geezer is?

At the weekend, having taken the Project Manager out for a spot of lunch, I couldn’t resist making this purchase, DCC fitted and lightly weathered, at a snip. I just love green diesels.
Just need to fit the buffer beam clutter.

Very nice Carl ……. I am not cute enough to determine if that is a Bachmann or Heljan one…….. I have a Green SYP on back order with Suttons, but not sure it will be delivered before I depart this world !
Green, Maroon and other non-blue diesels are definitely becoming my thing and I have just pre-ordered an Accurascale Class 31 in Golden Ochre………might need to make a decision soon on the fate of my BR Blue diesel fleet as they are spending most of their life in their boxes, which is a shame.

HD,
It’s a Bachmann, a very quiet a smooth runner, I picked it up for under three figures, a bargain.
Even though I was brought up in the blue era, and only ever saw a handful of green locos, I’m with you on the green/maroon era, it just seem to suit better.
Whilst Neptune Street is suggestive of the Hull area, rule 1 applies and I know that there will be interlopers in the future, Westerns and Warships on the quayside, whatever next.
Enjoy the Sutton’s 25 and class 31 when they arrive.
