Although the Metcalfe warehouses are good for what they are, making them as part of a backscene has been an error. They are nothing like the warehouses I often saw as I walked down Call lane to Sovereign Street.
Then recently I came across a Company in Hipperholme, West Yorkshire. (ID Backscenes/2K Technologies. No affiliation.)
They do a small range of backscenes showing warehouses typical of Leeds and Manchester. A pack was ordered. There are 10x Self-Adhesive Sheets; five designs two of each.
Here are a couple of photographs of Clarence Dock backscene now. A hoist has been added above one set of doors.
A search of other buildings in and around Leeds 10 and Leeds 11 area is in progress. Some I have found. It is a case of how to place them.
Here is an example.
There is still work to be done at Clarence Dock making the area 'smoky and dirty', placing figures, boxes etc.
I am pleased with the new backscenes, so much so, I have ordered another pack for the backscene at Sovereign Street.
