I got talking to Tony Martin a couple of years back in a local pub. Seemed a nice guy! ;)

I understand that these things he made were not very dangerous more like a crack with the head masters cane. they did not blow peoples feet off. :lol:

No John, Martin was the farmer that shot dead a young burglar that broke into his house with another man. There was some public sympathy for him at the time.

O not the cartridge man Terry ,,,I dont remember what his name was.
Now On a lighter note I wonder how the OP The Sligo Rover is getting on with his garage doors. He may have built a portcullis buy now.

I think the lion is a very good idea, just wondering if in fact a moat would be a better solution!!!!!

Some good security lighting worked via PIR's. Also fit two external dummy alarm bell boxes, one on house & one on shed/garage. It's a good cheap deterrent, especially if they are fitted with small flashing a led. A bugler will always avoid somewhere that looks a problem.
