We only fitted the CCTV cameras as there was a spate of break-ins - sheds,garages etc. As we used to be out of the country for a whole month, and the local alarm company doing a "deal", we had the cameras installed. There very useful for seeing what time the heron comes down and tries to catch the goldfish - pond now suitably netted

About five years ago one of my work colleagues got one of these for his mother

She had early dementia and was always falling victim to scams. A salesman sold her a burglar alarm system even though she already had one.

We use a BT phone system very similar to this, no nuisance or scam calls for over two years

That had me thinking! We are with Plusnet (which is really BT) and they also offer 'call protect' service.

Ours is actually a pair of handsets called Premium Twin. I think I paid £60 for the two
