I dont think 90% of modellers are at all interested in scale accuracy, be it 0,00 tt,n orz scales. They have bought in to the love of model trains. I have a lot of HO stuff. It runs at the same time as 00. Until i joined a forum, i had no idea that it was that different. The steam locos are slightly smaller, but the diesels are about the same. My MTD, locos, are to my eye, the same. I bought them ( MTD) that is, because they are beyond doubt, the finest locos, on offer. Unfortunalely, they are also, the dearest.

No idea about TT but I do think that P4 looks better than OO but I will not be changing as I am happy with my OO gauge. I cant see the point of changing to TT unless it is to get more into a smaller space and I would not have thought it made that much difference. Changing for change sake if you ask me.

TT, stands for Table Top. The whole idea was designed for smaller layouts.

It has been around for a long time. I’ve seen some excellent TT layouts as shows.

Not really Sandy. Change to TT for me is due to moving to a bungalow with less space than before. Progress slightly halted at present due to little track currently being produced in UK by Peco. There is Tillig of course but that’s a bit dearer as it comes from Germany. R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.

I think you made the right choice Roger. Bit smaller than OO but a lot easier to handle than N.

Definitely. I did briefly look at a couple of N layouts at a recent exhibition. No chance I could cope with that. R-

I must have miss judged TT Roger as I was under the impression it took up as much space as oo does. I do agree that TT is better size than N which would be too small for my old eyes. :)
