Re: Steam Trains to Sovereign Street.
The layout is a nice busy place with life taking place everywhere. That is one thing which is not easy to achieve. Often you look at layouts which are perfect in detail and modelling quality but have nothing going on at all. They are still life. Yours is alive. I like it a lot. well done
If only there was enough hours in the day..................John

Thanks footplate1947.
Things are obviously not perfect, but I try to run trains to some sort of timetable and have a reason to run.

Re: Steam Trains to Sovereign Street.
It is what I love about it. It feels real. I can see a perfect scale layout of an actual location made by a tallented modeller but there is no atmosphere and it feels two dimentional, yet this has atmosphere which gives it a third dimention. It has a reason for being there.footplate1947 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 26, 2019 2:41 pm The layout is a nice busy place with life taking place everywhere. That is one thing which is not easy to achieve. Hello all,
I read these two fabulous threads: Diesels to Glencairn Scholarsgate and Steam Trains to Sovereign Street.
This is a fantastic layout and I really like it. I tried to modify glencairn's original track plan (just a little bit):
Hope I'm right...
