A little 'light' reading. Basically though, a class 10 is what you should go for.

Thank you IanS for that little bit of reading and now beginning to understand a little about these new small memory cards.
Thanks for the info, saved it for the record now.

Mine arrived this morning.
Barry, have you deciphered the instructions yet - mine seem to make no sense whatsoever. eg “red light flashing on the long 3 under blue lights open motion........” you get the idea.

When I got mine I needed a magnifying glass! Still not got magnifying glass and camera in same room to try it yet!
The video did make it look simple, so I should be ok.

My SQ11 arrived and tried it out this evening. Did not get wonderful picture but I only had a class 4 card in it and will try it tomorrow with a class 10.
I think they need a class 10 card for video class 4 is only for data far as I know.

I spent some time recording some footage this morning but when I plugged it into the PC there's nothing on the card. Proving to be a bit frustrating.

I went by the "instructions" in the original video - couldn't make much sense of the printed version. I also downloaded the "software" mentioned earlier in the thread (Post 22) before I got a picture. I haven't used it since.

I gave up on the instructions and followed the chap who explained it on the U tube vid. Simple.. Easier than my Casio Diving watch is to alter the time. and date. Now I have discarded the Class 4 card for a class 10 card (which was just as cheap) it works fine with good picture. I think it is ideal little toy for doing fun things like running on a wagon around a layout. I tried it out in the dark with movement sensor but did not have much luck with that.

Re: New SQ11 Full HD Camera (1920x1080)
Tried it again last night in a fixed position with normal room lighting and picture was not as good as it was in the video in the first post. One thing which surprised me was the angle of view was narrow and not the wider angle described in the camera advertisement in the description. My one had very narrow angle of view. bit like a 300 mm lens. That surprised me. I am not sure if I got the setting right and if it was set to 1080p or not so will try again later to find the other settings when I get a minute.
