This old GWR Hall has been in my junk box for few years, was going to toss it out but looking at it the other day and I was useing some black satin spary on something else. I cleaned it up thinking I may be able to smarten it up and I am amaised at the result. I know it is only an old hall but it looks OK long as you dont go to close.

Looks really good. Needs some lamp irons on the front. The corners of staples make good ones.

How I make lamp irons is from narrow strips of bronz pick up strips. A bit fiddly, then I shape lamp iron with narrow tail on bottom. Drill 1mm hole (or less) in the loco and feed the tail trough and bend over under the loco to hold it in. once Im happy with it put bit of glue on the tail. Great thing about metal lamp irons is they dont break like plastic ones do.

Hi,
Two new and fairly spontaneous acquisitions for the pre BR Blue theme on my Montgreenan layout……..Heljan Class 52 D1036 "Western Emperor" and Dapol Class 22 D6311.
Barring anything sensational, I think that is me done for loco's for the time being, although there might be a few that will be leaving as I better define what I want to model...… My Montgreenan thread has some news on this...….

I have just acquired these 'little gems' in a cheap job lot (with other items). They have been given a few circuits round the layout without mishap.

This was the helicopter car minus the helicopter and fittings. I shall find something to put on it.
