Re: Painting and Weathering Service
Great work Steve, looks brilliant. Well done..... Almost tempted
And the Lord said unto John “Come forth and receive eternal life”, but John came fifth and won a toaster!

How good does this look - perhaps a future commission for the maestro ?

Western Pioneer returns to Portencross after a repaint at the Mumford Works and is immediately allocated to haul some China Clays...... won’t stay Black for long if regularly rostered to Clay workings !

Let me quote you for some ‘heavy’weathering.
I can even see where I painted the exhaust soot under your lighting.

Latest repaint. Converting another Heljan Western from mud brown to desert sand.
As always the yellow panels are a challenge but this time it’s compounded by the original Tampo printed crest and warning signs reacting with the paint. I always run this risk as I like to leave them in place to show where the new decals go when finishing.
Anyway, a quick rubdown and selective masking and we should be ok.

That’s the main colours blocked out and drying - ready for the detailing. It’s a bit chilly in the shed though - makes my hands shake.
