Thank you IanS for your kind comments also. I am becoming a little wary how the modelling is. I am waiting to have an operation on my eyes to see correctly. Until then any fine detail modelling is 'out the window'.

You don't need ultra fine detail. You need consistency to give a good well presented overall look, and you have achieved that. The photos of your layout are always nice to see.

Hi MG It's just a personal thing. Sometimes I think a photograph looks good then I see the errors.

I just have to put them right.

I have one of those cranes which I have kept so I can modify it into a small narrow gauge crane. I have not started working on it yet. The first thing for me to do is to try to find a simple way to fit the drawing pin buffers onto the mazak casting. I have an idea which just might work to do that. In the past I have simply filed down the casting to get a flat surface and superglued on a new wooden bufferbeam which seems to have worked on a few waggons. Your steam boiler looks most effective, however in the next scale up with such a small crane I will keep mine as a hand cranked crane. In your scale the boiler looks the part and makes the crane look real.
