Tempting fate Sandy!
The issue with that one was the delay in sourcing and getting delivery of the correct transfers. Hopefully the ones I have this time will be ok.

When it’s a sandblaster.

I saw this mentioned in a magazine recently and thought I’d give it a try.
I stuck a piece of masking tape across the side of an old model to test it with the supplied aluminium oxide blast media. It’s a little too sharp but I have ordered a bag of extremely fine glass beads which is recommended for use on plastics.
Does a pretty good job of stripping painted logos without damaging the plastic underneath.
I will need to experiment a lot more before I try it on a client’s loco though.

I could have ‘signed’ my work............across the roof!

I used to do sand blasting in a past life and I recon that my old machine could turn an old loco body to dust in about 20 seconds.

I’m still not fully over Covid but I have finally ventured back into the shed.
Started on the lining this morning and the first challenge is discovering that Hornby have made the splashers both oversize and different sizes. The centre one is huge but I expect some careful positioning of the etched nameplates will take care of that.

Re: Painting and Weathering Service
I’m not
I expect the centre splasher was left large as the back of it would always be behind the nameplate.
Lining looks superb Steve.
Nurse, the screens!
Re: Painting and Weathering Service
Excuse my ignorance, but what and where are the "splashers"?
