The Star and Garter Inn looks very good as part of Clarence Dock. I reckon those dock workers earned themselves a lunchtime or after-work pint (or both).

Though not my regular place for a drink after work, it was a really nice place.
I must run some steam trains again. It has been a little while since the last running session.

Leeds, Scarcroft & Wetherby Railway locomotive 'East Keswick' approaching Roseville Station with a southbound train of pit props. The pit props will finish somewhere in France.

The same train now at Leeds Sovereign Street Station.

The train arrived at Leeds LNWR Goods Yard. Has been marshalled and is now heading south with a Calder Railway locomotive in charge.

The train of pit props etc. continues its journey south.

Another train heading south. This time a troop train with soldiers of the Northumberland Fusiliers. A mix of different Company carriages make up the train.

North British Railway carriages are at the front. Even some Kirkstall & East Seacroft Railway coaches are making the long journey south.

The younger granddaughter decided to run steam trains, which is unusual for her.

Every picture tells a story, like the troop train and the platform full of troops.

One part of the layout is 1914/19 whilst the other is 60 years later. A bit odd when they collide, (but so what
)

You cannot beat "big" steam engines
Great pictures as usual.
